B5 Audi A4 1.8TQM – 2.0T GT2871R

February 12th, 2010

This is our latest B5 1.8T build that we completed this year, and it is definitely the most fun.

This particular customer came to us with 1997 A4 1.8T that hadn’t run or been registered since 2001. The car had a chewed up disaster for a wiring harness, a cobbled together turbo kit with both internal and external wastegates, and had been through a few motors. In fact, he hadn’t even seen the car in 6 years when he shipped it down to us.

He wanted a reliable, consistent, quick-spooling 350+ HP setup, without sinking too much money into the motor.

Once we got started on the car, more and more of the old hardware had to get tossed out in favor of new, professionally engineered performance parts. It’s always easier to start with a clean slate, to say the least.

After countless hours of replacing hackjob parts and removing rat nests, dead squirrels, and spiderwebs, the car was ready to hit the dyno for break-in and tuning. We even had it detailed when we were done. Here are some pictures, specs, and dynos from the completed project.

Eurotuner GP 2009 – Bloopers

January 23rd, 2010

Here are some of our shenanigans and less-than-graceful moments from last year’s Eurotuner Grand Prix.

Featuring:

- Mike Rohrbach attempting to learn how to drive a stick, before giving up and deciding to drag race a 700HP E92 BMW M3 in our Ford F350 Powerstroke tow rig.

- Christian Miller going on an off-road excursion in our Time Attack A4 VR6T after spotting an innocent bystander eating french fries.

- Javad, Mike, and Christian perfecting poses that they learned from the “Icy Hot Stuntaz” in front of our ETGP entry. There was a lot of sagging, leaning, mean-mugging, and ball grabbing in hopes of getting “mad wiminz.”

Thunderhill – January, 2010

January 14th, 2010

Here at 034Motorsport, we wanted to start the new year out right. And what better way than with our very own Christian Miller’s infamous GT3076R I5 20VT powered Coupe Quattro making its return to the racetrack at Thunderhill?

Miller Coupe, Turn 5

We had a blast at the track, and a great time meeting fellow Audi enthusiasts there.

More pictures from the weekend can be found in the 034Motorsport Gallery.

Videos from the event can be found on the 034Motorsport YouTube Channel.

October 23rd, 2009

Finally the 034Motorsport 7A Turbo Kit is available after years of development! The 7A Audi 20v 5-cylinder is an amazing engine, built strong from the factory, it is plagued by weak tuning, but in turbo form its brought to life with a broad torque band and great top end power all the way to 7000rpm.

Our turbo kit includes all major components of the conversion and best of all, include an easy to use plug in chipset to handle all tuning needs using the stock ECU.

For more information, feel free to check out the 7A Turbo Kit on the 034Motorsport Website.

B6 Audi A4 1.8TQMS Avant – Stage IIc Tuning

October 14th, 2009

We recently had a customer stop by for some tuning on his B6 Avant. Our 034EFI Stage IIc brings life to the Audi DTM 2.0 Turbo engine fitted with a GT2871R Eliminator turbocharger, custom dual-plenum intake manifold, dual-injector setup, and much more.

The car ended up making 309.5 WHP 258.3 WTQ on 91 octane, with a 100 octane map available at the flip of a switch, producing 334.3 WHP and 307.2 WTQ. Check out the dyno on the 034Motorsport Gallery.

Time Attack A4 Testing – Street Tires

October 6th, 2009

Here is some footage from our most recent test session to shake down our Time Attack Car. This was the fastest run of the afternoon, using our 034EFI Stage IIc 2-step launch control. This car will run much faster, but for right now we are doing all of our testing using Eurotuner GP Spec Tires, which are Continental ContiSportContact3 Street Tires. Despite some serious traction issues, the car still cuts 1.8 second 60-foot times and runs a 10.5 @ 148 MPH!

Enjoy the video below, as well as pictures from the test day on the 034Motorsport Gallery.
